Survival acrylics 38 x 46 cm 2022
This art work was inspired by one of my friend’s near-death experience. They had a diving accident with almost fatal consequences in the sea deep that included a struggle and fight. I was so moved by the story that I had to make a painting of it. On the top part is the water surface glimmering and below it a fateful battle - foamed crests crossing each other, driven by the force of water. Even though crests don’t usully form below surface, in the art work they represent the mental fights we go through in everyday life that sometimes in magnitude match to games of survival.
