Eternal Adventure 80 x 160 cm Acrylics and mixed media 2021 Commission work
This art work was inspired by the forest, in which its owners love to wander and that is also my big source of inspiration. It is a representation of green mountains that start sharper in definition on the lower part of the painting and fade as we move further back in the view. In the midst of the green there is fuchsia, like a beautiful delicate flower growing inbetween - yet once one moves closer, it can be seen that this flower is made of rough, thick strokes, ready to withstand the testing weathers of high altitudes.. I think you can guess the symbolism here. The gold represents the journey into the unknown, the joy, the adventure. Because one thing is for certain - life is not about the destination. This work is placed opposite to a beautiful wide view to a green garden. I wanted the owners to be able to enjoy the reflection of the green nature all year round.
