This 3-piece painting was motivated by my client’s dear collecting hobby: cars. Their favourite ones are the black, the red and the white one. The order in which they’re numbered is the order they got them. The red one an especially dear one - the first, reminding of the younger, wilder years. Now they all are a part of a lovely family home (with the missus’ blessing of course). The client’s wish was to make a painting that works both as individual pieces as well as a set. A challenge, and a triumph. A fantastic journey in making them, the three Dear Companions.
